drugs and alcohol abuse campaign a success
A successful drugs and alcohol abuse campaign was held at Willowfontein Community Hall on Sunday the 26th of July. The campaign was organised by TAI'S Abafana Bebhola project co-ordinator, Khule Bhengu, together with the team members of Amatsatsatsa Football Club, who do voluntary work as big brothers to vulnerable children in the Willowfontein community.
It is a known fact that alcohol and drug abuse can lead to the abuse of neglect of children by their Guardians or Parents. Since TAI's ABB project focuses on the well being of orphaned and vulnerable children, it is important that they try to create awareness in communities that we operate in about the dangers of Alcohol and Drug abuse.
So Khule and the whole members of the ABB project team must applauded for their effort to create awareness about this. One of the ABB team members Melusi Ngidi said one of the main reason of this campaign was to try and encourage parents not to set a bad example to their kids by using drugs and alcohol. Young children are easely influenced by the behaviour of their parents.
Big ups to the ABB team for a job well done!
